# Coast > Coast (formerly JSON.fit) is a free iOS and Android app for fitness on autopilot: working adults, men and women, who want results with the least time. You set it up once, then it plans your training and your food. You set your goal weight and body fat; the app plans the order of cuts and bulks to get there (a "route" of trim and build phases) and how long each one takes, from published research. Then it builds weekly high-protein meal plans around your calories, mostly batch meals you cook once for 8 tubs, with every ingredient and step, one shopping list and one cook, plus a periodised training program with sets, reps, rest and deload weeks already set. Everything is built in the app in about a minute from research-backed rules; there is no AI inside the app. Free, no ads, no account, data stays on the phone. Coast's library has 75 meals: 37 batch meals you cook once for 8 tubs (29 in the slow cooker, 8 oven bakes; 31 take 10 minutes or less of hands-on work; every one keeps 3 days in the fridge and freezes), 16 breakfasts, 10 desserts and 12 backup meals (smoothies for when a meal gets missed), every one photographed with exact ingredients and every step. Meals can be swapped and the day rebalances to the calorie and protein targets. Training programs run 1 to 6 days a week, at a gym, at home or bodyweight only, up to a year long, with 144 exercises. 25 decisions the app makes carry a confidence label (strong, good, best estimate) and link to 42 sources. Built in Canberra, Australia, by Ryan Novinc, who is using the app on himself in public: 77 kg at the July 2026 restart, 80.6 kg at 23.8% on the September DEXA, routed down to 72.9 kg at 16% and then up to 90 kg at 13%. ## Who this is for Busy working adults, men and women, who want to eat right and train with the least time. Often people who already go to the gym but whose food is a mess. Goals cover losing weight, building muscle and both; gaining weight is one goal option, not the whole app. ## Core pages - [Try it](https://getcoast.fit/try/): Build your plan in the browser, no sign-up: answer a few questions and see your route, your training program and your weekly meals, made by the same engines as the app. - [Meal prep for people who already train](https://getcoast.fit/meal-prep/): For people who train but whose food falls apart midweek: high protein meal prep from one shop and one slow cooker cook, 8 tubs on your macros. - [FIFO and shift workers](https://getcoast.fit/fifo/): For FIFO and shift workers: one cook covers the weeks at home, on your macros, plus training at a gym, at home or bodyweight only.
